Who am I? A loaded question with different answers at different times and for different audiences.
- Wife of Bruce, my wonderful husband, for over 15 years now. Far from the wife I should be; must keep working on that, but blessed to be his Mrs.
- Mom of a 22-year-old prodigal son, Jordan, that God blessed us with over 12 years ago.
- Daughter of Steve and Joan, the couple that through 56+ years of marriage have shown me what unconditional love looks like practically.
- Sister of a high school jock. Never escape hearing, "Oh, yeah, you're Grant's sister."
- HR Assistant at Agape Plastics. A rather new adventure that I am loving and one that keeps me growing and learning.
- Youth Group small group leader of high school girls. They keep me on my toes and help keep me young.
- Former legal assistant to various attorneys for over 20 years.
- Michigan fan that bleeds Maize and Blue.
- Aunt to some crazy cool nieces and a nephew.
- Friend.
- Cousin.
- Cookie baker.
- Craftaholoic.
- Lighthouse lover.
- And the list goes on...
Each title comes with it's own list of pros and cons. Some are treasured. Some I wish I could shed at times. Some titles are even temporary in nature. So, then who am I, really?
When I seek my value or self-worth in one of the above titles, I will, at no doubt, be disappointed some time. We are fallen people living in a fallen world. Regardless of the nature of the relationship, we fail at times.
However, there is one title I have not mentioned above. A title for which I am forever blessed and grateful to hold. One in which I will NEVER be disappointed...
Daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!!
Ephesians 1:3-6 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love he predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise and the glory of His grace, with which He favored us in the Beloved. (NASB)
This picture was given to me a few years back by a Bible study leader and I love it! It helps me remember just who I am!!! I am a daughter of the Most High God!
The following are links to a couple of different songs entitled, "Who Am I?" Both have different, but great messages about who we are in Christ!

If you know Christ as your personal Savior, you are a son or daughter of the King of Kings as well! A prince or a princess; live like it.
If you don't wear that title or know how you can wear that title, talk to me, please. I would love to share with you how you can be sure!
